Is WAlenz built on WhatsApp's official platform?
Yes. WAlenz uses Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API), the official way for businesses to message customers. It never automates WhatsApp Web, which breaks WhatsApp's terms and is the usual reason numbers get banned.
Who pays for the WhatsApp messages?
Meta charges for template messages (campaigns, updates, passcodes) per message, based on the category and the customer's country, and bills the payment method in your WhatsApp Business Account directly. Replies within 24 hours of a customer's message are free. Your WAlenz plan covers the software; we never add a markup on Meta's fees.
Can I keep my current WhatsApp number?
Yes. You can connect a new number or one you already use. A number in the WhatsApp Business app can stay in the app too: WAlenz copies your phone contacts and up to 6 months of chats, and messages show in both. If the number is with another WhatsApp API provider, they need to release it first; we'll help you move it.
Do my customers need to agree to get messages?
Yes, WhatsApp requires customers to agree before you send them marketing. WAlenz records consent when you add or import contacts, and stops campaigns to anyone who replies STOP (in English, Sinhala or Tamil) or turns off your promotions in WhatsApp.
Can my whole team use one number?
Yes. Invite your team as admins, marketers or agents, or give someone a custom role with just the access they need. Everyone works from the same inbox, and conversations can be assigned to a person.
