From sign-up to your first WhatsApp campaign: the steps in order.
WAlenz sends and receives WhatsApp messages through your own WhatsApp Business number, on Meta's official platform. Here's the quickest way to your first campaign.
1. Connect your WhatsApp number
Open WhatsApp in the menu and click Connect WhatsApp. Log in with Facebook, choose or create your business, and confirm your number with the code WhatsApp sends. More about connecting.
2. Add a payment method in Meta
Meta charges your WhatsApp Business account for template messages. Add a card in Meta Business Suite → Billing. Without it, templates can't be sent.
3. Get a template approved
WhatsApp only lets businesses start conversations with approved templates. Open Templates → New template, write your message, add variables like {{first_name}}, and submit. Meta usually approves a template within minutes, and sometimes takes up to a day. Template tips.
4. Add your contacts
Open Contacts → Import, upload an Excel or CSV file, match the columns and confirm the people agreed to hear from you. Numbers like 077 123 4567 are cleaned up for you.
5. Send a campaign
Open Campaigns → New campaign, choose the template and who gets it, fill the variables, send a test to your own phone, then send or schedule. All about campaigns.
6. Answer replies
Replies arrive in the Inbox. Assign chats to your team, use saved replies, and set up automatic replies for nights and weekends. Inbox and automations.
